Objet de Curiosité | 一场“珍奇”的设计盛事

一场跨越时空的奇妙邂逅，在中法建交六十周年之际，WS SPACE無集作为中国独家代理，为法国著名品牌Objet de Curiosité打造一座“珍奇屋“，一场别开生面的派对，将珍奇瑰宝首度呈现于“设计上海”。在诉说过去与未来、东方与西方故事的同时，将那些藏匿在岁月中的秘密和美丽，逐一显现于眼前，法式生活艺术因此徐徐展开。Objet de Curiosité于2024年6月19日至6月22日，亮相“设计上海”，以童真与探索精神玩转“珍奇”。

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Sino-French relations, WS SPACE presents a "Cabinet of Curiosities" for Objets de Curiosité at "Design Shanghai." This event will debut rare treasures, blending Eastern and Western stories and unveiling hidden beauties of bygone eras. Objets de Curiosité will showcase their wonders from June 19th to June 22nd, 2024, embodying the spirit of curiosity and exploration.

In Objets de Curiosité's "Cabinet of Curiosities," time stands still, inviting each viewer to resonate deeply. Soft, interlacing lights reveal a diverse world—from animals and insects to shells, fossils, minerals, plants, furniture, and lamps. Exhibits unfold mysteriously, like a treasure chest, showcasing French lifestyle and sparking explorations of childhood wonder.

At "Design Shanghai," Objets de Curiosité presents the unadorned beauty of nature in its purest form, reflecting timeless allure. Rooted in Southern French heritage, the brand blends romantic sophistication with effortless ease.

晶洞平衡装置

晶洞标本取自摩洛哥阿尤恩附近的白色石英地质。其外貌似乎只是一颗平凡的天然石球，然而在轻轻揭开盖子的瞬间，内部那闪烁的璀璨晶体即刻映入眼帘。支撑整体的三根支柱和精确的平衡重物，保证盖子如临其境地保持稳定。每一块晶洞标本在形态上各不相同，却无一不带来那不可思议的深刻触动。

The Moroccan stone appears ordinary, but lifting its top reveals sparkling natural crystals inside: a geode of white quartz from the southernmost part of Morocco (south of Laâyoune). It uses a counterweight for balanced lid support. Each geode varies in shape, ensuring a guaranteed "Wahoo!" effect.

克里翁菊石标本装置

马达加斯加的克里翁菊石，源自距今1.2亿年的白垩纪。其独特之处在于腔室内镶嵌着如焦糖般晶莹的方解石，呈现出自然的艺术。菊石被切割成两半，并嵌入金属齿轮中。最初的腔室被侏罗纪时期的海浪冲刷，而形成了灰色黏土填充。通过旋转黄铜齿轮，我们得以深入探索其复杂的内部结构，甚至推测其年龄，成为物件与时间的直接对话。

This Cleoniceras ammonite from Madagascar, dating back 120 million years to the Cretaceous period, showcases mineralized chambers with caramel-colored calcite crystals. Sawed in half and mounted on a metal base with a rack mechanism, it reveals initial chambers filled with grey clay that once allowed entry from the Jurassic sea. By activating brass gears, one can explore its complex interior and estimate its age—a scientific and aesthetic wonder.

十二只“血红色的滑翔机”

鲜红色的蝴蝶名为Cymothoe Sangaris，“血红色的滑翔机”，来自非洲刚果民主共和国。它们在茂密森林的树叶间穿梭，追逐者斑驳的阳光，如同一片片燃烧的火焰，为幽暗的丛林注入一抹明亮。即使在海拔700米的高处，它们的身姿依然灵动可见。

Those red butterflies come from Africa (Congo). their name: Cymothoe Sangaris. They look for the sunspots where a leaf is illuminated by dappled sunlight filtering through the foliage of the upper canopy.
